Dr. Gina Rendon

DVM, Medical Director

Dr. Rendon earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Smith College in 1995, graduating cum laude and with highest honors in Neuroscience. She went on to earn a Master’s degree in Brain and Cognitive Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology before going on to vet school. She received her Doctorate from Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002, and has been working as a general practitioner in veterinary medicine ever since. Before starting at the Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic, she worked for four years at St. Marks Veterinary Hospital in the East Village; and prior to that, practiced veterinary medicine in Vermont, Massachusetts, and Quebec. She is a member of the Animal Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Association, the Veterinary Medical Society of New York City, and a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners.

Dr. Rendon became a veterinarian because, more than anything, she wanted to be around animals every day. With a love for both science and animals, veterinary medicine allows her to merge these interests. Even more, Dr. Rendon loves interacting with pets and their owners, getting to know their stories and seeing how their relationships develop over time.

Dr. Rendon lives in Brooklyn with her husband, Jon; daughter, Phoebe; and two spoiled dogs, Jolene and Atlas.

Dr. Sampsel

Veterinarian

Dr. Sampsel grew up in northeastern Ohio with two dogs and two horses. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University in 2015, graduating Magna cum Laude with distinction in research. She received her Doctorate from Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. During her education, Dr. Sampsel worked in numerous small animal veterinary practices and developed a love for interacting with clients and caring for their pets. She is a member of the Animal Veterinary Medical Association, is Cat Friendly certified, and is USDA accredited. She is working on becoming a Fear Free practitioner.

Dr. Sampsel has wanted to be a veterinarian since childhood because of an intense desire to help people and their pets. She enjoys developing relationships with owners and their animals. She enjoys dentistry, medicine, and surgery and is especially passionate about the management of young and old pets. She lives with her dogs, Roxy, a geriatric labradoodle, and Ziki, an adolescent cockapoo.

Dr. Seki

Veterinarian

Dr. Mihoko Seki has been practicing veterinary medicine in NYC after graduating from the University of Illinois. She became passionate for animals after growing up with three family-owned dogs (Oreo, Chocolat, and Brooke). Dr. Seki’s favorite aspects of veterinary medicine include surgeries and seeing puppies & kittens grow up!

Dr. Rizzi

Veterinarian

Dr. Arianna Rizzi! Dr Rizzi went to Cornell University for her Bachelors Degree in animal science, and attended the Royal Veterinary College for her Veterinary degree. Dr. Rizzi has always had a love for animals, which is why she became a veterinarian! She was closely mentored by our very own medical director Dr. Rendon, who has been by her side since she was in high school, and throughout her journey to become a vet. She was a vet assistant here at Williamsburg Vets while she was in school to become a veterinarian herself. She had such a positive experience working with the staff and patients here and she was eager to come back and work alongside her mentor. Dr. Rizzi loves all animals, including the exotics pets. She has two exotic pets of her own; a Green Cheek Conure named “Esme” and a Cockatiel named “Cinnamon”.

Dr. Jennifer Glenn

Veterinarian

Dr. Jennifer Glenn has known she wanted to be a Veterinarian since the age of nine. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Delaware and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania.

Dr. Glenn worked as an emergency veterinarian in Delaware and Vermont before moving to New York to practice general medicine. She has a particular interest in surgery, dermatology and emergency medicine. In her free time Dr. Glenn loves to attend yoga classes and explore the city with her friends. She lives with her cat named Mowgli – a rescue from Vermont!

Dr. Sloane Hoffman

Veterinarian

Dr. Hoffman is originally from a small beach town in Florida, where she grew up surrounded by many pets (cats, dogs, birds, fish – oh my!). She knew she wanted to be a veterinarian since kindergarten. She earned a dual bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences and Wildlife Ecology and Conservation from the University of Florida (Go Gators!). She then moved to the beautiful island of Grenada in the Caribbean to attend St. George’s University where she earned her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

She worked in emergency medicine prior to taking a position at Williamsburg Veterinary Clinic. She has a special interest in internal medicine, emergency medicine, and dentistry. In her free time, she enjoys lifting weights, reading fantasy novels, and eating delicious foods. She lives in the city with her fiancé, Johnathan, their cat Rosie, and their dog Fifi.
